Day 1 (-/L/D) City Tour in Yangon
Upon your arrival to Yangon International Airport, our friendly travel companion and driver shall pick you up and bring you for lunch. Lunch shall be served with the local cuisines. After lunch, we shall lead to Yangon old quarter where we can see the historical colonial buildings. We shall shop at the famous Bogyoke market where world best Jades, pearls, jewelleries and Burmese artifacts are being sold. We shall visit to U Thant House or Bogyoke Aung San’s Museum where you can witness the houses those famous national icon used to live and know the interesting history and stories. We shall go Kandawgyi park and enjoy the sunset at there with beautiful Kandawgyi lake and Karaweik floating palace (one of the beautiful landmark in Yangon) and rest in the hotel in Yangon for the night. After that, we shall visit to the most famous landmark of Myanmar, one of the world wonder, the most scared Buddhist religious site, Wonderful Shwedagon Pagoda. The Pagoda has the interesting legend with remarkable architecture where the whole stupa is covered in genuine gold plates. We shall bring you for dinner at the local restaurant and send you back hotel.
Day 2 (B/L/D) Bagan Cultural Tour
After breakfast at hotel, our transport shall transfer you to the airport to take the domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival to Bagan early in the morning, our regional tour guide shall wait for you at the airport and lead the memorable cultural tour in Bagan. Bagan tour shall include Shwe Zi Gone Pagoda, the most interesting buddhist temple in Bagan, Kyansittha Umin, where you can see original frescoes and some painted by Bagan’s Tartar invaders. Tour shall continue to Gubyaukgyi – Gubyauknge at Wetkyi Inn where you can find some excellent fine frescoes of scenes from the jatakas at Gubyaukgyi and stucco carvings on the outside walls at Gubyauknge. Ananda Temple is famous as the finest, largest, best preserved and most revered of the Bagan temples. Thatbyinyu Temple, one of the earliest double-storeyed temples and the highest temple in Bagan. Htilominlo with its interesting legend and fragments of the original fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations outside the temple. Tharabar Gate, the ancient wall of Bagan city, is only remaining gate among original 12 gates. Gawdawpalin ,a double-storeyed temple in the late style, is one of the largest shrines of Bagan with intersting story behind. You will enjoy the sunset at Buu Paya at the Bank of Ayeayawaddy (Irrawaddy) River. Dinner will be served after and you will be sent back to hotel for good night sleep. Overnight at Bagan.
Day 4 (B/L/D) Cultural Tour in Mandalay
After breakfast at the hotel, you shall be transferred to airport to take the domestic flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival of Mandalay airport, our friendly station guide shall pick you up and accompany for the amazing culture tour in Mandalay. We shall visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda, which is famous as World’s Biggest Book (by UNESCO) is existed in the pagoda compound. After that we shall visit to Sandamani pagoda nearby. After that, we will visit to Atumashi Monastery, the original structure was one of the greatest monuments constructed by King Min Tone. We shall continue our tour to “Shwenandaw Monastery”, a must visit in Mandalay to be wowed by the Burmese authentic wood carved teak building. The building is craved all over with motifs and mythical creatures.
After lunch, we shall visit to Burmese traditional arts & crafts workshops of Stone Craving and Wood Craving to touch the Burmese culture. We will also visit to Maha Myat Muni Pagoda, one of the greatest religious sites in whole Myanmar. Maha Myat Muni Buddha Image is decorated with diamonds, rubies, sapphires and variety of jewels. We shall visit to Mandalay Hill at the late evening to feel the evening breeze and enjoy the beautiful sunset. The hill view offers the panoramic view of Mandalay City and a nice place to chill after whole day of tour. (Optional: at night, we shall visit to Mandalay Night Market to experience interesting local market place.) Our driver shall send you back to hotel at the end of the tour. Overnight at Mandalay.
Day 5 (B/L/D) Touring Ancient Capitals Mingun & Ava
Breakfast shall be served at Hotel. Our friendly driver shall pick you up at hotel and drive to jetty. We shall take the cruise to cross Ayeyawaddy River to Mingun, an ancient Burma capital before Mandalay. While cruising, you can spot Ayeyawaddy Dolphins if you are lucky. In Mingun, we shall visit to Mya Thein Dan Pagoda, a very wonderful and significant architecture, a symbolic place and a paradise for photography enthusiastic. We shall also visit to Mingun Pahtodawgyi, a gigantic monument with interesting history. We shall also visit to Mingun Bell, the world’s largest un-cracked and ringing bell.
On the second half of the day, we shall visit to Ava or Inwa, another ancient capital of Burma with remains of ancient cultural Burmese architectural buildings and monuments worth for the visit. Teak built Bagayar Monastery will bring you back in time and let you wonder the high Burmese wood craving skill and artistic work of Ava Era. Visit to Ava is not complete without visiting to Mal Nu Oak Kyaung, a brick structure Buddhist monastery, constructed and donated by Queen Mal Nu and it is considered as one of the finest specimens of Myanmar architecture during the Konbaung Period (19th century). It also has rich history and interesting stories. We shall also visit to other fascinating ancient city’s structure like watch tower and city wall of Ava. In the late evening, shall return to Mandalay to visit to U Bein Bridge, the longest man built wooden bridge spanning across Taungthamen Lake. It is one of the landmarks of Amarapura, Mandalay. It offers the stunning sunset over the lake and another photo hot spot. We shall transfer you back to hotel and you can rest soundly.
Day 6 (B/L/D) Heho-Indein Sightseeing
After breakfast at hotel, our driver shall send you back to the airport to fly to Heho. Upon arrival to Heho Airport, our private driver and station tour guide shall pick you at the airport. Nyaungshwe and board your private long-tail boat for the journey to Inle Lake. Take a scenic trip across the lake to Indein passing through the busy village of Ywama, the largest on the lake, with its many channels and tall Teak houses on stilts. Disembark at the jetty and walk through Indein village to reach the 14th-18th century pagoda ruins of Nyaung Ohak. A covered walkway popular with handicraft sellers leads up to Shwe Inn Thein Paya, a complex of weather-beaten 17th-18th century Buddhist Temples, some of which have been newly reconstructed. Later travel by boat downstream to your hotel for dinner and your overnight stay. Night shall be spent at Hotel in Inle Lake.
Day 7 (B/L/D) Wonderful Inle Lake Sightseeing
After having breakfastat hotel, our local guide shall pick you up. This morning make an early start to visit a local market which offers a Cultural Insight into the life of the ethnic Pa-O, Danu and Intha people who visit the market to sell and buy goods. Travel by boat across the lake, its calm waters dotted with floating vegetation and fishing boats, to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in the area. See the lake’s unique leg rowers, Intha fishermen, who row standing up with one leg wrapped around a single oar, leaving their hands free to manipulate the conical fishing net.
The afternoon, we will visit to Inle Heritage to see the cultural insight of Inle. You can see the fishing museum, Inle Architecutre and floating garden. You can also visit to Burmese Cat Village, a rare breed of highly intelligent cat originated in Burma, Myanmar. After that, you can take the Inle Canoe Lady, a local tourism product nominated for innovative tourism product award. If you are interested in Horse riding, there is a horse riding club in Nyaung Shwe, Inle and we will bring you there for horse riding (own expense based on different riding hour). Stay overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.
Day 8 (B/-/-) Inle Departure
Breakfast shall be served at hotel. You can chill and relax at the inle lake resort at our own leisure time. Our driver shall drive you back to the airport and fly back to Yangon.
